What time does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 release?

Fortnite places you in the role of a bank robber in Chapter 6 Season 2, which has the official title of “Lawless.”

The heist theme is a popular one in the Fortnite realm, as players can complete a train heist as recently as Chapter 6 Season 1. However, trains are not the only source of highly-valued loot as a few POIs are being updated to include banks.

Here’s when Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 releases in your time zone, and what you can expect in the new season.

What time does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 release in your time zone?

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will release on Friday, February 21, with downtime starting at 2 a.m. EST.

What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2’s title is Lawless, and has a heavy focus on heists.

Train heists are back and appear to be upgraded, but that’s not all! The cinematic gameplay trailer has revealed banks have been added to the map, and they’re waiting to be looted. Completing a bank heist may be easier said than done as it appears that you need a drill gun, an explosive, or a laser drill to break into the vaults. Once you’re in, there are a ton of bars, loot, and, what appears to be, Dill coins for you to grab.

The cinematic gameplay trailer revealed a variety of new items, locations, and skins. Fend off against other players with the new dual-wield shotgun and plasma burst rifle, visit new POIs like the Gold Mine and Baron’s Mansion, or rob a bank as… Sub-Zero?

Battle pass skins are scattered throughout the cinematic gameplay trailer and they’re featured on the season’s teaser image. There will be eight new outfits with an emphasis on a “robber” aesthetic, minus a girl wearing a traffic cone and Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero. Other skins shown in the cinematic trailer that aren’t in the teaser image include a new Dobermann and rat outfit.

As always, if Sub-Zero is nearby, Scorpion is soon to follow. According to FNBRintel on X, Scorpion is set to join Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, along with his iconic spear hook and Sub-Zero’s ice gauntlets. Additionally, the legendary “Get Over Here!” voice line will be played once you’ve hit a player with Scorpion’s spear hook.

As Chapter 6 Season 1 is ending on Friday, February 21, make sure to complete your weekly quests before they expire, such as purchasing items from vending machines, giving an Earth Sprite a weapon, or using a Storm Forecast Tower.
