April tends to be a quieter month for new games, sandwiched between the traditionally busy release months of March and May. That’s mostly true this year, but as ever, these quiet spots in the calendar are a good moment for quality indie games and smaller games to rise to the fore. Spring is here, and with it comes a bounty of new games to play on PlayStation 5, building off a strong start to 2026. For more than a year, Disney Parks has been promoting its new Olaf animatronic as the next generation of character encounters. Standing about three feet tall, the robot is the exact size the character was in the Frozen films and is covered in fluffy fabric to give the perfect snow effect. And unlike the stationary animatronic found within the Disney rides, Olaf is able to freely roam around the park, sharing interactions with park guests thanks to advancements in robotics, including AI , utilized by Disney’s Imagineering team. Microsoft will hold its annual Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 7, the company announced Monday. The Xbox showcase promises "first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles" from Xbox Game Studios and third-party partners, "from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings." The Arc Raiders Flashpoint update release time is almost here. The Obsession and Madness Abyss puzzle in Crimson Desert is a strange one. Firstly, because it's actually called the Sanctorum of Insight — though you won't know that until you complete the "Obsession and Madness" quest. Secondly, because there's a secret way to skip the puzzle and immediately restore the Abyss.
