The Twilight Zone is a black-and-white television series created by Rod Serling, who also hosted the show and wrote most of the episodes. It aired on television from 1959 until 1964. Over five seasons, 156 episodes were produced. The show is an anthology that delves into stories of both science fiction and horror, and its impact on both of those genres has been tremendous. I’ve never been what you would call a “Star Wars guy.” As much as I enjoy George Lucas’ original film trilogy, they always struck me as perfectly fun popcorn movies rather than masterpieces of American cinema. My interest in Star Wars has only ever been casual outside of those movies, entirely tied to how interested I was in individual projects.
