PlayStation Plus subscribers’ free Essential games for May 2025 are  NBA 2K25 , Alone in the Dark , and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk ,  Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Tuesday . Players can download the trio of games beginning June 3. PS Plus Essential subscribers will also get expansion Destiny 2: The Final Shape , starting May 28. NBA 2K25 is the latest version of 2K Sports’ basketball simulation, released in September 2024. NBA 2K25 features 2K’s ProPlay tech that “directly translates NBA footage into engaging gameplay” and includes a long list of modes, including MyCareer, MyTeam, MyNBA, and The W, with WNBA players from a variety of eras. Two decades later, she tells Polygon she’s hoping to expose more people to the creepy historical concept with the solo RPG Sin Eater , which begins a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter today. Sin eaters were prevalent in the United Kingdom from the 16th through 18th century, paid by families to consume bread and beer in the presence of a fresh corpse in order to ritually take on the deceased’s sins, and guarantee them passage to heaven.
