Beloved Action-RPG Muramasa: The Demon Blade Returns in 2027 With Stunning Remake

Having played Muramasa: Revenant Blades for an hour at a Tokyo Game Show event last month, the rerelease quickly shot up my list of most anticipated games, thanks to its mix of fast-paced action, depth in fighting styles, and (of course) gorgeous artwork. (As is often the case with Vanillaware games, the in-game food looks incredibly mouth-watering.) source https://www.polygon.com/muramasa-revenant-blades-2027-remake-remaster-vanillaware-marvelous/

Disney's 10-Part Detective Thriller Series Is So Freaking Good You'll Finish It in One Weekend

Perhaps the most essential thing about adapting a movie into a TV show is getting the balance right between the old and the new. You want the show to feel like the movie and capture what you loved about the characters, but you also want enough new stuff going on to make the series a worthwhile venture on its own. But that challenge becomes harder when the show has none of the movie’s characters, and likely becomes even more difficult when the show is an anthology series that introduces brand-new characters every season. source https://www.polygon.com/fargo-season-2-streaming-october-2026/

20 Years Later, Battlestar Galactica’s Most Intense Episode Is Still an All-Time Classic

Written by Moore, “Occupation” picks up four months after the devastating season 2 finale when the Cylons invaded New Caprica, the planet where the last surviving humans had hoped to find a fresh start. It’s an extremely dark episode as the show’s heroes try to organize a resistance that seems futile given that Cylons can resurrect themselves. Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, who had previously worked with Steven Spielberg on Saving Private Ryan and Schindler’s List , directs the Emmy-nominated episode, which was inspired by both the Iraq War and World War II. source https://www.polygon.com/battlestar-galactica-occupation-20-years-anniversary/

8 Most Unhinged Dark Urge Lines in BG3

The Dark Urge — an origin character afflicted with amnesia and the most intense bloodlust of all time — has some extremely memorable dialogue in Baldur’s Gate 3 . At every turn, when you pause to review your response options, you’ll get lines that are funny, chilling, and heartbreaking. Sometimes, that voice belongs to the character (often referred to as, simply, “ Durge ”). Sometimes that voice belongs to the game’s narrator, Amelia Tyler, speaking as The Dark Urge’s inner monologue. Tyler noted in a December 2023 interview with TechRadar that her favorite Dark Urge line is just a creepy, demonic laugh. That’s certainly a contender for the most haunting line from this character. So are the following eight. source https://www.polygon.com/best-dark-urge-lines-baldurs-gate-3/

5 Sci-Fi Series To Watch If You Love Lanterns

Lanterns recently came to an end, and it more than delivered when it comes to being both a great comic book series and a great piece of television. Not only did the series thrive thanks to the dynamic between Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre), but it also managed to revitalize interest in the Green Lantern franchise following the less-than-stellar Green Lantern movie from 2011. That's a superhuman feat in and of itself, and Lanterns creators Damon Lindelof, Chris Mundy and Tom King deserve credit for pulling that off. source https://www.polygon.com/5-sci-fi-series-like-lanterns/

Critical Role's Best Member Just Officially Raised the Bar for D&D Players Everywhere

We’re certain Critters will agree that Critical Role ’s latest campaign, Campaign 4, has been a lesson in heartbreak. From the very first episode, which opens with a funeral, to the recurring themes of the cost of revolution and sacrifice , and the premise that any character can die , each episode of Campaign 4 has been an emotional rollercoaster. source https://www.polygon.com/critical-role-wicander-halovar-sam-riegel/
