EA Sports conceding college basketball to 2K ensures players lose

On Sept. 4, EA Sports signalled it was backing out of the college basketball market before it even got its shot off. In a memo sent to schools it was trying to hash out licensing deals with, EA indicated many of those schools were already signing with its rival sports publisher, 2K. This was confirmed a day later as 2K stated, “Yes, it’s true” — 2K has a college basketball game in the works, potentially due to release in 2027. (2K’s wording is a little cagey: “We've got big plans for 2027 and beyond.”)

Knowing the Max Battle schedule is useful if you’re looking to expand your inventory of Dynamax Pokémon in Pokémon Go . It does appear that Niantic will start rotating Pokémon in and out of Max Battles on a month-by-month basis, with some event Pokémon littered in. There are also Max Mondays, a weekly event similar to raid hour, where one Pokémon will show up more frequently in power spots from 6-7 p.m. That said, you’ll want a healthy amount of Dynamax Pokémon in your team if you choose to divulge in the feature, as only Dynamax Pokémon can participate in Max Raids.
